CloudBees Core on modern cloud platforms installation guide


Introduction

CloudBees Core is an end-to-end continuous software delivery system. It offers stable releases with monthly updates, as well as additional proprietary tools and enterprise features to enhance the manageability and security of Jenkins. CloudBees Core helps administrators manage growing installations due to ever-increasing teams, projects and jobs while getting professional support on Jenkins.

CloudBees Core on modern cloud platforms is designed to run on Kubernetes.

CloudBees Core on traditional platforms has been developed for on-premise installations.

Supported Kubernetes

For CloudBees Core on modern cloud platforms, CloudBees supports Kubernetes 1.x, starting with 1.10, as long as it is actively supported by the Kubernetes distribution provider and is one of the following implementations:

  • Amazon EKS

  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

  • Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)

  • Pivotal Container Service (PKS)

  • Red Hat OpenShift

  • CNCF-certified Kubernetes

The version used must be Generally Available. CloudBees does not support or recommend "proof of concept" offering of Kubernetes platforms or Beta or Public preview versions.

Installing

Starting with version 2.176.3.2, installing CloudBees Core on modern cloud platforms using Helm is recommended. Refer to Supported platforms for list of supported Helm versions.

Select your Kubernetes distribution to start installing using Helm:

Installing without using Helm is still available but not recommended. Documentation for non-Helm installations are still available if necessary:
