Installing on Google Cloud Platform
Installing Jenkins X on Google Cloud Platform Shell requires the following supported services installed and configured prior to installation:
A Google Cloud Platform (GCP) account. You can sign up for the GCP free trial, which lasts 12 months, and currently offers US$300 of credit.
Also ensure you have created a GCP project for your CloudBees Jenkins X Distribution installation. It is recommended that you create a new GCP project, separate from your other development and production clusters.
jx commands from the GCP Cloud Shell, install the CloudBees Jenkins X Distribution binaries from the GitHub repository and install it via GCP shell commands:
Open the GCP Cloud Shell, and choose your GCP project for CloudBees Jenkins X Distribution.Note
It is highly recommended that you use Google Chrome browser with GCP Cloud Shell, as you may experience issues using other browsers.
